According to an alternative version of this wiki called life the universe and everything wiki, Humma Kavula (john Malkovich's character) was mutilated in the Dordellis war (a war where the galactic government persecute space pirates like Humma Kavula himself) Does that have any basis in the film itself. What is the more likely explanation for the weird leg/eye/thing as well as his past life as a space pirate.
