Alpha Centauri
Alpha Centauri is the closest star system to Earth and is the home of the Galactic Hyperspace Planning Council. It is also home to small furry creatures (who were real small furry creatures from Alpha Centauri) and super-intelligent lizard-squirrels. It has sixteen cities, in which the 15th is the best place to buy Pan Galactic Gargle Blasters. Port Brasta is it's the main spaceport, with a huge "duty-free shopping mall." Proxima Centauri (Alpha Proxima) is mentioned as being only 4 light-years away, while Damogran is 500,000.
During the reign of the former Galactic Empire, small furry creatures from Alpha Centauri were real small furry creatures from Alpha Centauri.[1]
