Mella is a former Golgafrinchan art director for a small advertising company. She is shortish and has a round face. She was (unintentionally) transported to prehistoric Earth on the Golgafrinchan Ship B where she and her friend Agda met Arthur Dent and Ford Prefect, with whom they essentially went on a double date.
