The Wooden Pillar of Nature and Spirituality is the Ashes of a burnt stump signifying the death of English cricket. It was part of The Wikkit Key and for this reason was stolen from Lords Cricket Ground by the Krikkit War Robots (which turned out not to be an Australian Margerine publicity stunt).
The robots rebuilt the Pillar from the Ashes, but they were burnt again on the asteroid orbiting Krikkit. Arthur tried to return the Ashes after saving the universe from the threat of Krikkit and Hactar.
